AWARDS/PRIZES
2023: awarded Third Prize in FCA Fall Show for Wildcat Road View, oil pastel drawing.
October 2011- October 2012: Artist in Residence, Dulwich Picture Gallery. The appointment was created to coincide with the exhibition Painting Canada:Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven. The brief was to “celebrate and promote Canadian art and culture, and to provide a continuing Canadian presence within the gallery beyond the Group of Seven exhibition, offering new perspectives on the permanent collection and future temporary exhibitions.” I led workshops on Canadian landscape to all age groups, referring to the Group of Seven as well as other Canadian landscape artists, past and present. I gave a presentation to gallery supporters, and attended gallery events throughout the year in the capacity of Artist in Residence, which included presenting a workshop on portraiture to HRH the Prince of Wales. I had a two-month solo exhibition of 40 works, and designed 2 consecutive sell-out Christmas cards for the gallery.
